That's why he rides like that — upright, unhurried, certain. He isn't running from anything or proving anything to anybody. He's carrying something, and he intends to hand it off in better shape than he got it.

THE FLAG
The Black American Heritage Flag was designed in 1967 by Melvin Charles and Gleason T. Jackson to give Black Americans a flag of their own. Red for the blood shed for freedom, justice, and human dignity. Black for pride in Black identity. The blunted sword for strength and the ability to cultivate the earth. The golden wreath for peace, prosperity, and everlasting life.

Six riders carry it. Three generations. Same flag in every frame.

Look at the horses. The elders' stand still. Everyone else is moving. That's not an accident — you don't move until somebody plants.
